Civilization

Think of a time when there was no difference between a man and a beast. They were rather animals of the same line- of the same level. Now time has changed. We have known how to differentiate ourselves from beasts. Let us review how this happened.

The first thing that comes to our mind is The Civilization, to say literally Human Civilization. Another milestone for this civilization was the invention of fire. Something tremendous happened with this invention. Man knew how to fight the dark, symbol of evil. Man took an upper hand on animals, specially the nocturnal ones. But among these the most important thing that happened to man was the realization of thinking himself supreme above all other living beings crawling on the earth. Later on, only this thinking led the civilization to another level, the post modern age.

Now comes the question of humanity. With the fulfillment of civilization, we have explored various ways of recreational activities along with meeting the basic needs. Man is naturally desirous. So ultimately they are curious as well. And this curiosity has led them to invent and/or discover so many things. But not all of them are good indeed. Dynamite, for instance, was actually invented to ease human labour. Later on, the world saw how it was used.

So what makes man so brutal? Greed, gluttony, self-indulgence, hunger or jealousy. No, I think none of these is responsible for such inhuman activity. Actually it’s the lack of love in human being that causes havoc to the disciplined civilization. No, we never think of the life that follows our existing life- DEATH: The Ultimate Goal.

To one another! for the world, which seems

And we are here as on a darkling plain

Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight,

Where ignorant armies clash by night.

The two World Wars brought untold sufferings to human civilization. The earth witnessed how men can drag themselves to the level of beasts- only to prove themselves more powerful than others, than other humans.

And now in 2014, we have become the witnesses of the most gruesome oppression (I can never call it a war) of the world, we all must be ashamed of such tyranny in Gaza!!!

Is Human Civilization going upwards? I don’t think so. Its totally a mockery.

Humanity: The Cause We are Human

Have we ever thought why we are here on this earth? Just to breed and eat- like other creatures in the universe. Obviously the answer (or rational answer) is a big NO. Unlike all other creatures man is not created just to have life on earth. Its the rationality that leads man to humanity- yes its Humanity!

Now sit steady and rethink- why the heck are we here? Why? Why are we busy with so much work and for whom? To answer simply, we are mere servants- servants of humanity. Naturally when a child is born, it is totally unaware of the world surrounding it. It grows inch by inch or I should rather say it grows up- having the subconscious knowledge of humanity or with a flavor of humanity. Over the ages, man is having an unquenchable thirst for knowing the fact- the ultimate FACT. Its about the Creator!

Now the question that rises in us- if humanity is the cause of our existence, why should we toil so much? Yes, a logical thinking indeed.  Before going through this, think of something different. Imagine that you are just walking along a lonely road. Suddenly you notice something strange on the road- a little injured bird lying on there- groaning. Now, will you not feel a bit sympathy for this tiny creature? If yes, why?

Another big question to deal with is that why are we here? Obviously we are sent here not merely to crawl on the earth and taking our generation ahead. We have something noble to do- something greater. This is the cause why you were sympathetic towards the bird. So before doing anything we should always bear in mind that why I am doing this. Is there any noble cause or just doing it for a meaningless purpose?

Like John Lennon I always dream of a world with people living life in peace. But unlike Lennon I think there must be Hell and Heaven or why is there a clash between good and evil? Now it is time we thought why Jonathon Swift became an extreme misanthropist. The cause was that he felt the lack of humanity with the then people. So right was Robin Hood!

We made civilizations now but never cherish them in our soul. We hanker after riches without thinking of the life after death. It is only humanity that can liberate us from all strife of life. We cannot take a single coin with us when the ultimate call of death knocks us all. Then why so chaos!!!

Some people say there is nothing after death. Here the first thing I say is “Should we call it after death or after life?” What if life is a dream and death wakes us up?

...আবেগহীন বেগ!!!

একটা জীবনকে সহজেই একটা বাইসাইকেলের সাথে তুলনা করতে পারি আমরা, ভারসাম্য বজায় রাখা অসম্ভব একটা সাইকেলের যদি না প্যাডেল মারা হয় অর্থাৎ সামনের দিকে এগিয়ে যেতে হলে কিছু না কিছু করতেই হয় আমাদের। অন্যথায় স্থির জল বিন্দু ছাড়া কিছুই নয় জীবনটা আমাদের।

আমরা সামাজিক যোগাযোগের সাইট সমৃদ্ধ করছি, আর নিজেরা অসামাজিক হয়ে উঠছি ক্রমেই!!!

...Hypocrisy!!!

একটা সময় ছিল যখন আমাদের বাপ-দাদারা বউ পেটাতেন, সে এক করুন রস! সভ্য হয়েছি আমরা এখন, বউ পেটাইনা- নাকি পারিনা, সে তর্ক আরেকদিন। এখন অনেক বেশি সভ্য হয়েছি আমরা, অভিনয় শিখেছি অনেকখানি- তাই রক্ষে! তাই বলে ক্ষয় হওয়া থেকে রক্ষা পায়নি আমাদের বিবেক- এ যেন আরেক নদী-ভাঙন, আগ্রাসী হয়ে থাবা বসিয়েই চলেছে চারপাশের যা কিছু মানবীয়- তাতে।

ডাক্তার, প্রকৌশলী আর কম্পিউটার জিনিয়াস বানানোর কারখানার প্রতিযোগ দিকে দিকে, শালা ভালো মানুষ বানাতে চায়না কেউ।

সভ্যতা খাই আমরা এখন, বানাইনা!!!

...পিতৃত্ব

...এমন উজ্জ্বল, জ্বলজ্বলে চোখ দেখার অভিজ্ঞতা হলো আমার এই প্রথম। জীবনে খুব নিবিড়ভাবে অনুভব করলাম, এই বিশ্ব-ব্রহ্মাণ্ডে আর কোন কিছুই এতটা আলো ছড়াতে পারেনা। হ্যাঁ, একজন গর্বিত পিতার চোখের কথা বলছি আমি, যিনি তাঁর সন্তানের কারণে গর্বিত।

একই সাথে অনুভব করলাম, সুখি হওয়ার জন্য খুব বেশী কিছু প্রয়োজন হয়না জীবনে। দুর্ভাগ্য, এই ‘অল্পকিছু’-এর সাক্ষাত পায়না কেউ জীবনভর!!!
